Leslie Copland provides a full range of training, consulting, and facilitation services to her clients. Her work is dedicated to developing workplace effectiveness and interaction skills to maximize individual and organizational productivity and success. All services are customized to align with and organization’s (or team’s or individual’s) mission, vision, strategies, and goals.
Her training approach is interactive so that participants gain both understanding of theory and integration of skills. She assists her clients in developing committed individuals and high performing workgroups that utilize their individuality, collective intelligence, and resilience in change. She balances this with developing collaborative membership and leadership skills.
In addition to her independent consulting practice, Leslie worked at Waggener Edstrom/WE Communications, for 15 years, where she served at VP, Organizational Development and Learning. She worked around the world in this capacity, providing executive coaching as well as team, management, and leadership development.
Her world-class clients include Nike, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Women Care Global, Evofem Biosciences, prAna, Qualcomm Life, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Microsoft, US Forest Service, Bonneville Power Administration, Young Presidents’ Organization, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Sony, Microsoft, Intel, Celebrity Cruise Lines, and more. She is an authorized facilitator for the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a highly prestigious world-wide organization of company Presidents and CEOs and Chief Executives Organization (CEO).
Her previous positions included serving as Director of Organizational Development at IBM, General Manager, and facilitator for Wings Seminars and Executive Director for a non-profit visual arts center. Leslie has a Masters degree in Applied Behavioral Science from the Leadership Institute of Seattle. She served as adjunct faculty of the School of Management at the Oregon Graduate Institute for Science and Technology, where she taught classes in change leadership to students from all around the world. She is a member of relevant professional organizations and is certified for the use of many tools such as Hogan Assessments, Insights Discovery, Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, Profiles XT inventories, Executive Leadership and Management 360 surveys and more.
Leslie lives in Portland, OR. When not at work, she enjoys traveling, yoga, arts, and culture, providing pro bono work to local and state-wide non-profit arts organizations, spending time with friends, family, her husband, Marc, and their dog, Ajax.
